Hotteok 호떡

Hotteok 호떡
A famous Korean street snack.
You can never miss this delicacy in the streets of korea,
but we have it here in mum's kitchen/
Hotteok is made from fresh dough and can be served with a variety of fillings,
sure to surprise you and your tastebuds.
After 2 rounds of proofing (1 hour for the first proofing), the sticky dough that seem to flow like viscous lava from the volcano, is ready to be shaped into round balls filled with a generous serving of the filling, to the choice of the maker!
Mum had made hotteok for many times,
and each time she indeed surprised my tastebuds with the different fillings she hid in the dough.
-cheese
-curry potatoes
-brown sugar with peanuts
-brown sugar with sesame seeds
cinnamon powder
-lotus paste
-vegetables
and many more!!

Watch the video I had attached above that documents the process of my mum making hotteok in our kitchen!
