Appreciate even the littlest things in life and say Thank You because you never know you may make someone's day better!
Someone who presses the buttons for you in the lift and politely offers to press the level you are going to.
Someone who offers you a piece of tissue.
Someone who shelters you because it is pouring and you do not have an umbrella with you.
Someone who transports you to your destination.
Someone who cleans after you.
Someone who accompanies you.
Someone who cooks for you.
This list can easily go on and on and never end.
Do you thank strangers? Maybe the cleaner aunty, the canteen stall owner, the bookshop lady, the librarian, the taxi driver, the bus driver, or just a fellow commuter on the public transport? I certainly do thank strangers, because they have got no business to help us but they had went an extra mile to provide a service for us (if it is their jobs) or just because. Even if I do not get the chance to thank them upfront, I say a small thank you in my heart and make sure I pay it forward. :) I find it heartwarming when others around me do that too. Don't you feel that the world has become a nicer place with such gestures. Aww.
How about those who are close to you? Like your parents, your grandparents, your teachers and your friends? These are people we are very likely to take for granted because we expect them to help us. The help has been so often that we are probably very reliant on and have seen as an indispensable part of our lives. We often forget to thank them but because they love and care for us, they continue to help us, don't they?
I am sure we are one of those who also offer help to those around us.
I am.
I am not obliged to, but I feel good helping.
Because when you do good, you feel good.
(what if you do it in the way you define it to be- and it may not necessarily benefit who you are helping :<)
Never take things for granted, things have been there for a reason and someone must have done it and it is to your convenience now. :) Maybe, just being a little bit more mindful of the people around you and pay attention to the little details of what they have done for you. A simple Thank You may go a very long way. :)
While the caramel seems like it only occupies the top of the pudding, the caramel is very crucial and isn't easy to make! Not stirring at the start but swirling it well; controlling the colour, the bubbling, the heat... We can't just do away with the caramel because it is difficult to make or just overlook its significance. Ah yes haha, so the caramel on the pudding lead me to what I've typed above. I watched my mum painstakingly prepared the caramel. It wasn't easy at all, but all the efforts went in just to prepare that small amount which made a whole lot of difference to the dessert. It made me appreciate the dessert a little more. Not seeing the efforts that went in during the making, may just take the food for granted and gobble it down. Funny how a Crème Caramel made me wonder and think about showing appreciation... Well thank you caramel, you made a difference. Thank you mum, you made a difference to the caramel. HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Then again, isn't it amazing how the caramel and the pudding compliment each other? A slightly bittersweet caramel base, topped with a custard mixture which cooks into a smooth and soft pudding, served warm or chilled..

"最感谢的? .... 就好像生命中有很多 你不认识的人 他们每一个都..."
