Eating homecooked food in a home away from home!
Thank you mummy!!!! For rushing to buy the freshest-of-all ingredients in the morning, cooking my favourite dishes and bringing them down to hall (from a really really long distance from home!) in a bag to keep them warm! That's a lot of hardwork! Really appreciate that! *inserts big thumping heart emoji* I love homecooked food! (Oh, how many times must I reiterate that hehe)
So what did I have?
Fragrant white rice
Chap chye (When I received mum's whatsapp a few hours early, and saw the word, chap chye, I was already salivating. Conditioned response of salivating- not by the ringing bell done by Pavlov- the stimulus for me is mum's homecooked food!! Seriously- what even??!! (APPLICATION OF WHAT I'VE LEARNT IN UNI DONE HERE)
Butter prawns
Soya sauce chicken with mushroom and potato
Yuppz, I finished everyhthing in no time (as usual). *rubs tummy*
But that's not all, folks
!
Mum also made these amazing red velvet babies! Red velvet cupcakes and pound cake (see another post for the compilation of the pound cakes mum made)! I shared them with other friends of the same course in hall and I guess they were more than happy to receive these tasty treats! :)
Indeed homecooked food in a home away from home, but nothing beats enjoying homecooked food within the comforts of your home isn't it! :)
Press on! Everybody! It's almost near halfway into the semester of my second year and recess week is approaching?
Keep calm and EAT HOMECOOKED FOOD.
