Garlic Bread
WOW JUST LOOK AT THE PHOTO. BEAUTIFUL. IT'S LIKE AN ART. AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHER (ahem, that's me), A GREAT COOK (no doubt, my mum hahaha).
Hahahaha people may be wondering like "eh the writer of this blog is like a 妈宝, talking about the mum in almost every post". Well this theme of this blog is like Mum's homecooked food. So! :)
Who says you can only enjoy fresh and cripsy garlic bread at posh restaurants, or you have to buy those pre-packaged microwavable ones for campfires cuz you've gotta put it over the campfire's-burning-now-burn-burn-burn with marshmallows on a skewer. I used to think that way but NUH-UH.
Mum made it herself. The garlic spread is heavenly! It's green because there's parsley. Errrmiiigawdddd the parsley is like WEEEEHEEEZEEEKAAABOOOOM, adding so much flavour and joy to the garlic bread. So garlic bread isn't all about garlic, and the garlicky. (: Topping it with cheese, just finishes the entire dish with so much perfection.
It's not about the perfection, I am someone who believes that there's some beauty in imperfection. I mean who defines perfection? You define it for yourself and you are the one that build the wall and trap yourself inside, blindly chasing for that self-defined and self-restricting perfection?
BUT I HAVE TO SAY THIS GARLIC BREAD IS PERFECTION. The sound of the crunch of the bread when the bread knife slices the hot-from-the-oven garlic bread. It's like a nice beat awaiting a melody.
