Decided to do something special for mum on the special occasion. I wanted to try this pancake art thing but I realised I wasn't up enough for the level to turn the pancakes into an art so how about just writing words in the pancake. 😂 I guess it's good enough. Isit 自我安慰疗法.
The batter turned out perfect. It was well-mixed and all the ingredients were added in the right proportions. :) It was time for the exciting part which was to add a drop of food colouring to the batter! The colours also turned out pretty, didn't they. I like all colours. As silent as they can be, colours seem to communicate different feelings to me.
Alright, you may be curious how I did this. Write the word/letter you wanna have in your round pancake. Remember it should be mirror image because you are going to flip the pancake the other way and the words will be stuck in the pancake. So this takes some mirror-imaging skills. Notice how these letters I chose were symmetrical. 😂 After a side starts to bubble, pour the white batter around and wait for it to bubble as well before flipping over. Then just cook it like how you would cook a normal pancake! Easy, isn't it? Not a piece of art, but definitely still pretty to look and yummy to taste. :)
Mum took a short nap while I was doing this. (I told her not to come until I called her)
But after a while she said she smelt something burning so she came out to take a look.
Burning?? Hmmmm, I guess she meant pancake aroma????? HAHAHAHAHA.
YUP! Mum was surprised to see this, and yep that was supper.
